Annual Art Contest for Students
Calling all Students!
"WHAT REVS UP YOUR METABOLISM?"
The UNC-Chapel Hill Nutrition Research Institute, located on the North Carolina
Research Campus in Kannapolis, is hosting an art contest which will showcase the
talents of students, PreK-12th Grades.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE? All students, PreK-12th Grade
WHAT ARE THE AGE CATEGORIES?
- PreK-4th Grade
- 5th—8th Grade
- 9th—12th Grade
WHAT ARE THE PRIZES? 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards for all 3 age categories valued
at $100, $50, and $25, respectively. Overall Grand Prize award worth $250
WHEN WILL THE WINNERS BE ANNOUNCED? May 27, 2010 at 4:00 p.m.

Send us your artwork depicting metabolism, energy, and how nutrition contributes to
overall health and wellness. What gives you energy and how you use that energy?
What gets your heart pumping, gets you moving and revved up? Winners of the
contest will have their talent recognized and displayed in a leading international
research center- the UNC Nutrition Research Building in Kannapolis, NC!
Artwork, with completed entry form, must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May
14, 2010 to UNC NRI, 500 Laureate Way, Kannapolis, NC 28081.

H.A.R.V.E.S.T. Festival
The UNC NRI participates in the annual H.A.R.V.E.S.T. Health and Wellness Festival, hosted by Carolinas Medical Center Northeast. The 2010 event is scheduled for September 11th. Look for more information on this event in early Fall.
