Metabolic Chamber Monitor – Night Shift

Please note: This position is located on the NC Research Campus in Kannapolis, NC (near Charlotte), approximately 2 hours from the UNC main campus in Chapel Hill.

Monitors observe human study subjects in the Institute’s metabolic chamber from observation room to ensure compliance with study protocol. They are responsible for monitoring equipment associated with the chamber analysis and recording data. Monitors must follow strict schedule per study protocol, communicating instructions to study participants at given times. Monitors are responsible for heating and serving specially designed metabolic meals to research subjects according to the study protocol. Training in food preparation safety may be required and will be provided.

Hours begin immediately and are expected to last approximately 12 months. Hours per week will vary according to study requirements and may change from week to week.

Minimum Education and Experience:
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Basic word-processing and phone skills are required.

Preferred Education and Experience:
Previous experience monitoring instrumentation and recording readings is preferred.
