POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE-MOONEY LAB
This position is located at the UNC Nutrition Research Institute in Kannapolis, NC near Charlotte, NC.
A postdoctoral position is available in a developmental neurobiology laboratory at the Nutrition Research Institute, UNC Chapel Hill. The lab is focused on understanding outcomes following developmental exposure to environmental toxicants, particularly alcohol, and investigating the role of nutrition as a risk factor and a treatment. Future studies will identify genetic contributions to outcomes and nutritional needs. Applicant should be well trained in at least one of the following: rodent behavior, anatomical analyses (e.g., stereology, Sholl analysis), biochemical and molecular biology techniques (e.g., western blotting, ELISA, PCR). Other skills should include organization, record-keeping, team-work, and strong communication skills.
